What was once a warehouse for building electric locomotives is now the home of Foundry Lofts. Back in early 1900s, Canada Foundry Co. Ltd. built and supplied locomotives for railways across Canada. Today, the rich history of this company and the Great Canadian Railway is kept alive with the restoration and conversion of the warehouse into 104 hard-lofts.
These lofts are incorporating original exposed brick walls and large warehouse-style windows. Some lofts offer outdoor patios and most lofts feature windows overlooking the atrium in addition to original warehouse-style windows looking out to the city.
The most unique feature of Foundry Lofts is its living atrium. Situated in the heart of this community, the 16,000 sq.ft. atrium is a monument to exclusive community living. Feel free to take a walk in any kind of weather, no matter what the season - this interior green oasis filled with trees, park benches and cobblestone-like walkways is yours to enjoy. The living atrium serves as an extension of outdoor space for every loft in the community. Within this lush atrium, two interior amenity buildings coexist.
